In the 1900s Baron James de Rothschild toured the ancient site of Caesarea and staring out at the ruins one day, decided to build a unique settlement and in it -- a golf club.

About 100 years later in the 1960s, the Caesarea golf club was officially opened and a crowd of 2000 guests watched with excitement as Lord Victor Rothschild and Abba Eban teed off for the first time.

Today the course blends in with the magical shores and the ancient port, giving you an experience unmatched anywhere in the world. To discover the beauty of the Caesarea golf club and for more information, visit their website.

In 2007, construction began to upgrade the Caesarea golf course. Led by world renowned designer Pete Dye, the course was revamped to meet the highest international standards. View a video of an interview with Pete Dye on the left, or click here.
